Shilpa Agarwal is a book writing coach and marketing mentor with a difference.
One autumn afternoon, she denied herself the privilege of going for a run, because she feared it would make her seem not ’serious’ about her business.
She has lived a life of pleasing others, worrying about what others think, not valuing her own worth, and basically, a lifetime of feeling ‘not enough’. Something had to give.
It was at this moment, that she found her purpose and her mission of #Enoughness was born.
“The Crisp Takeaways
* Yum *
Three key concepts to keep in mind when considering ‘enoughness’
- Enoughness is all we need.
- Your enoughness doesn’t reveal itself on a perfect day – it comes when you don’t expect it.
- Permission to be and feel enough (and a lot more than enough) – comes from within.
The biggest takeaway from this episode has to be when Shipla said – “Your enoughness will look different to other people – it’s not about anything in particular, but rather trusting in whatever YOU need, want and are!”
You may have noticed, this is not a regular nuts-and-bolts podcast about copy. You can get those elsewhere. We’re looking for Crisp new ways to discuss wordy elements so if you have a suggestion, drop me a line!
Connect with Shilpa
Through #Enoughness, Shilpa helps coaches, consultants and aspiring authors own their worth and share their story, knowing they have and will always have enough substance – and write their book from a place of trusting that can and will always make a difference.
She also works to help them leverage their book and their story to stand out as a thought-leader in their industry.
Born in India, she now lives in Adelaide, with her husband and 3-year old girl.
When she’s not telling stories, you’ll find her listening to one, reading, writing or sipping chai.

If you’ve enjoyed this podcast it’s probably only partly due to the dulcet tones of my voice. A truckload of credit has to go to Elle Roberts, OBM and all-round smart woman, as she splices and dices, organises and Asanas, launches and consults, tweaks and twiddles so much of what happens for So Crisp to go from chattery to podcast supreme. If you’re thinking of launching a podcast, you need Elle on your team. Find her here.
